Meet Michael A. Garner
Trusted Construction Professional, Grounded in Experience
My career started with tools in hand: I was a certified welder, a Navy-trained electrician, and a scaffold technician before becoming a structural engineer and earning a Master’s in Engineering Management. This blend of technical skill and leadership gives me a unique perspective—I understand how every layer of a project fits together.
I’ve solved structural challenges in historic masonry, implemented the construction of biosafety labs, and humbly made modifications to the designs of iconic architects like Frank Lloyd Wright and I.M. Pei. Today, I use those experiences to help clients make confident, informed decisions—whether we're refining a scope, reviewing a bid, or managing a full build from start to finish.
Known for Clarity, Collaboration, and Craft
Over the years, I’ve developed a reputation for slowing down what’s too often rushed in construction: waterproofing details, substrate readiness, and envelope integrity. I’ve stopped roof systems mid-install when they weren’t up to standard—and I’ve saved clients time, money, and frustration because of it.
I work with homeowners, builders, architects, and design teams who care about getting it right the first time. Many of the projects I’ve been a managing member of have received industry recognition—and more importantly, they’ve stood the test of time.
If you’re looking for a partner to help you navigate construction with integrity, clarity, and calm, I’d be honored to hear about your project.
